Mr L Danby Co-opted Governor and Chair of the Governing Body
Locally born and educated at Holy Trinity C of E School, Grangefield Grammar, Stockton and Billingham College and Teesside Polytechnic.
I have had an extensive and varied career mainly in activities that have construction related.  Following a formal apprenticeship as a carpenter and joiner with a local firm I worked for a number of national construction companies.  Eventually I decided to work in the Middle East and later West Africa.  After many years in senior management posts overseas I returned to the UK and changed my career direction by taking up a post in youth and adult training.  This later led to a job opportunity with Stockton City Challenge which further led to me taking up a post with Stockton Borough Council. After several years with SBC in Project management I moved to Redcar Council to manage a programme of procurement of schools.  I switched back to Stockton and my role before my retirement was that of Director of “Building Schools for the Future”.
I am married to Corale, my second wife, who has a small business practising as a complementary therapist.  Between us we have an extended family of 5 children and several grandchildren.  We live locally in Carlton Village where we have resided for 17 years.  I have been actively involved in local affairs as a Parish Councillor, Church Warden (and choir member).  I enjoy a few simple pleasures in life such as gardening and DIY.  If time permits i am also a leisure motorcyclist.
I consider it an honour to be able at this time to act in the capacity of Chair of the Myton Park School Governors and will give of my best during the time for which I am appointed.

Mrs Michelle Ward Co-opted Governor and Vice Chair of the Governing Body
I am a co-opted governor and live close to the school.  I have two children, who both attended Myton Park, a daughter and a son.
I work part-time in a local primary school as an upper Key Stage 2 teacher and have been teaching for over 15 years.
I joined the governing body as I felt I was able to use my teaching and education background to support the school and the staff as well as giving a parental viewpoint to the daily needs and concerns of the parents and children of Myton Park.

Cllr Gillian Corr Local Authority Governor
I live in Broom Hill with my husband Gary and two of my three children.  My daughter attends Ingleby Manor Free School.  My two sons attend primary schools in Ingleby Barwick then Egglesclife Comprehensive and All Saints.
I formerly worked for Tesco in Ingleby Barwick for 10 years and before that worked as a mental health nurse for 17 years.
I have sat on the Town Council for 8 years and was the for Chair/Major of Ingleby Barwick.  i am very passionate about being  a school governor which is very rewarding and I enjoy my involvement with the school and appreciate the children’s achievements.
I will continue to represent the children of Myton Park Primary School and ensure they receive the best education that can be provided.

Mr M Irving Co-opted Governor
My association with Myton Park Primary School goes back to the beginning.  In 2003, 2 years after moving to Ingleby Barwick from Stafford my eldest son started attending a brand new school a short walk from our house. Since that time my other two sons have also completed their primary education at Myton Park.
Anyone who knows me will confirm I have two strong passions in life – watching cricket but especially playing cricket! I am a member of Maltby Cricket Club and have played the game since I was a boy.
Being a governor has given me an insight into the vast amount of hard work staff, parents, volunteers but especially our children contribute to making Myton Park the wonderful learning environment it has become.

Mrs Amanda Spenceley Co-opted Governor
I have been an elected governor at Myton Park now for over 3 years.  I have had one child who has progressed through the school and is now attending All Saints and one child who is currently in Y5.
I studied Law at Teesside University and graduated with an Honary Law Degree in 2013.  Currently I work as James Cook University Hospital.  My role as part of the Bed Management Team is often challenging and varied, “no day is the same.”
After finishing my degree I found that i had some time on my hands and having previously been involved in the “Friends of Myton Park” I decided that i would like to be active within the school once again,
Myton Park has consistently maintained a high standard of education and I consider myself privileged to be part of the team.

Tracey Wright Parent Governor
I became a governor in June 2017.  I am married with 2 daughters, both of whom attend Myton Park Primary.   I have been a primary school teacher for 18 years and I hope that my experiences can prove useful as a member of the governing body.
I have a great passion for seeing children happy and encouraged to achieve well and perform to their full potential.

Grant Callander Associate Governor
My interest in becoming a Myton Park Primary School Governor began with the enrolment of my son into the school Nursery in 2015.  He is now 4 and enjoying life in the school’s Reception class.  I have seen first hand the great work that the school does and the positive impact it can have upon the pupils and the wider community.  I am grateful that my son benefits from the school’s dedication and I want to be part of that and to support it in any way I can.
Originally from South Shields, I moved to Ingleby Barwick when I met my son’s mum back in 2010 and have since gravitated my Financial Advice business to be based on Stockton High Street, looking after Savings, Investments and Pensions for the people, businesses and charities of the local area and beyond.
