Birthday Celebrations

This Friday (27th November) we will be having our first birthday celebration, this is for all of the children who have had a birthday during September, October and November. These children can come to school in their own clothes and the rest of the children will either come in their normal school uniform or PE kit if it is there usual PE day.

The children do not need to bring anything in for our celebration, school will provide a cupcake and candle for each birthday child and we have planned some games to play in our bubbles where the children will have the chance to win some sweets.

We have some banners to put up in all of our classrooms and we will play some party music to try and create a fun and exciting birthday atmosphere. We hope the children enjoy celebrating with their friends!

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me (

Thank you

Mrs Hargrave

Flu Immunisation

The flu immunisation for the children in Reception to Year 6 will take place on Monday 23rd November 20.

Maths week Rock out 2020

As part of our commitment to make maths exciting and high profile in our school, this November we are taking part in a competition for Maths Week England. It’s called Rock Out 2020 and it’s all done online via

For every correct answer to a multiplication or division question, your child will earn their class a point. The Times Tables Rock Stars platform will calculate the class average (the number of correct answers per pupil in the class who play during the competition hours). Winning classes in the school and in the country as a whole will be the ones with the highest average.

All game modes (Gig, Garage, Studio, etc.) will count but only from games played between 7.30am and 7.30pm on Monday 9th, Tuesday 10th, Wednesday 11th, Thursday 12th, Friday 13th and Saturday 14th.

In the spirit of the competition, please don’t play on their behalf but by all means encourage and support them to the extent that it doesn’t cause high stress levels or impact on family plans. We suggest a limit of half an hour a day outside school hours – some will play more, some will play less.

Thanks for your support and Rock out!

Mr Harvey

Times table rock stars

Help your team as much as you can! We need everyone to join in.

The minimum expectation is that all children read at least four times per week at home. Please ensure an adult signs their reading record to acknowledge this. Remember, every time you read it goes towards your reading challenge.

If you have any questions please contact me.

Thank you

The Battle is on!

Year 3, 4 and 5 will battle it out for a precious first win of the year. The pressure is on year 4 as last year’s champions. Can they hold onto the title this year?

The battle will commence today at 16:00 and will run throughout the week. Once all of the times table blood has been shed, the battle will end next Tuesday 20th October at 08:00.

Remember, your team needs you! Every point counts.

Good luck 🙂 and let battle commence.

If you have any questions, please ask your class teacher.
