September 2019

Hello Parents

Just a quick note to say that Mrs Fowle will be available in September to offer additional classroom support to Year 6.

I hope you all have a wonderful summer.

After school football club Y4/5/6

Unfortunately, the after school football club on a Monday night will be cancelled until the next academic year. We would like to thank everyone who came along and look forward to seeing them next year.

Thank you

Mr Harvey & Mr Busby

Be Internet Legends

This week UKS2 have had a visit from Google!

‘Be Internet Legends’ is an educational programme developed by Google and the online safety experts at Parent Zone. Designed to empower our children to be confident, safe explorers of the online world. Children can also access the ‘Be Internet Legends’ website at home, where they can find out more information on how to stay safe and play games.

School Football Training

Just a quick reminder that the school football training sessions with Mr Busby and Mr Harvey have started again for the Summer term. The sessions run every Monday night from 3:30pm until 4:30pm.

The sessions are free and open to all children in Years 4,5 and 6. We look forward to seeing everyone tonight.

If you have any questions, please ask Mr Busby or Mr Harvey.

Homework Books

Dear Year 5,

Please remember to bring your homework books into school tomorrow as we will be marking your homework and adding new homework for this term.

We are looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow for the start of Summer Term!

From Miss Harrison, Mrs Macfarlane and Mrs Irving.

Balloon Cars

To celebrate British Science Week, Year 5 will be completing a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) challenge on Wednesday 13th March.  We will be designing, building and testing our own ‘balloon powered’ car and learning about the physics of how a balloon powered car works.

It would be extremely helpful if your child could bring in some materials to help build their own car.  Materials which will be really useful are plastic bottles (500ml are best), kitchen roll tubes, and any clean, rigid cardboard.

Thank you in advance for helping us to celebrate British Science Week.

Miss Harrison    🙂

For those of you who forgot this morning, please can you remember to bring your red homework books into school tomorrow.  Thank you! Miss Harrison  🙂
