Curriculum Intent – Geography
At Myton our Geography curriculum is designed to develop children’s curiosity and fascination about the world and its people; to promote the children’s interest and understanding of diverse places and people; to develop thematic links across learning; to allow for a breadth of knowledge across a range or natural and human environments; to foster a deep understanding of the Earth’s key physical and human processes.
The curriculum is designed to develop knowledge and skills that are progressive and transferable, throughout their time at Myton Park Primary and beyond. Children are encouraged to develop a greater understanding and knowledge of the world and the role they play within their community on a local, national and global scale.
